As the baby-boomer generation grays, Friendly Cab is preparing by finding ways to make our vehicles and staff even more senior-friendly.

Our current fleet includes ADA approved wheelchair ramps for motorized vehicle passengers. In addition, we have ten specialized wheel chair vans that operate under the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) dedicated to senior and handicap service. Part of our "senior friendly" campaign is to consult with healthcare professionals to understand the operation of commonly used medical equipment and needs of senior passengers. By understanding these needs, we can provide the highest level of service.

Friendly Cab works closely with senior homes and centers to ensure that seniors have transportation options, and our drivers accept scrip and other discount programs offered by the City of Oakland and other public agencies. We have recently upgraded our phone lines to better assist those who are hard of hearing or speak softly. Friendly Cab is proud to provide high-quality services to seniors and those with special needs as part of our position as the East Bay's most comprehensive private transportation provider.
